CUAC attended in“Association Function Seminar in the New Era”held in Jinzhou, Liaoning Province.
On July 4 to 5, China Association for International Education (CAFSA): “Association Function Seminar in the New Era” successfully held in Jinzhou, Liaoning Province. The seminar was held by CAFSA and Liaoning University of Technology. About 57 representatives from 16 provinces attended the seminar. The Deputy Director of International department of the Ministry of Education Mr. Sheng Jianxue, Deputy Director-general of educational department of Liaoning Province Mrs Wang Yanling, President of Liaoning University of Technology Mr. He Hui and Vice-president of CAFSA Mr. He Xiangmin attended the seminar.
President He Hui gave the lecture on the opening ceremony. On behalf of the seminar, he warmly welcomed leaders and representatives to participate in this seminar. He gave a short introduction to Liaoning University of Technology. Then Deputy Director-general Mrs. Wang Yanling introduced the development of foreigners’ study in Liaoning Province and future plan.
The Deputy Director of International department of the Ministry of Education Mr. Sheng Jianxue made the important speech at the seminar. “Thank you for the help of CAFSA on education.” He said. Then he talked about the change of government function and decentralization reform of the ministry of education. In the future, government and folk association should form the new relationship of “cooperation, complementation, mutual independence and interaction”.
He reaffirmed the requirements of association work and kept the criterion and quality in work.
In his opinion, we should reposition association work from academic and professional perspective. Association should strengthen capacity building. Firmly establish a sense of service, quality awareness and quality consciousness. We should provide the best and professional service for foreign students.
As one of the representatives in the seminar,
CUAC gave an introduction to “Application in Enrollment of Foreign Students’ Study in China”. After the seminar, representatives from CUAC exchanged with education leaders about the work of study in China.
