Chinese shares opened lower on Tuesday morning, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index sliding 0.16 percent to open at 2,889.79
 BEIJING, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares opened lower on Tuesday morning, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index sliding 0.16 percent to open at 2,889.79.

    The Shenzhen Component Index edged down 0.29 percent, to open at 11,710.14.
