He, also a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, said officials in the province should strive to expand domestic demand and ensure economic growth through implementing the central government's stimulus policies.

He stressed that the more distressed China's economy is, the higher attention should be paid to the livelihoods of ordinary Chinese people.

He also said that the circulation of farmers' rights to use land should be in strict accordance with the central government's policies and in full respect to farmers' intents.

The Chinese government owns the country's land and farmers have rights to use the land by signing contracts with the government. Since the end of last year, rights to use land can be transferred.
