This World Expo is official called Expo 2010 Shanghai China, also Shanghai World Expo. The theme of Expo 2010 is "Better City, Better Life."
 
Duration of Expo 2010 Shanghai China
The Expo 2010 Shanghai China lasts for 6 months, from May 1 to Oct 31, 2010, in which year Shanghai will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its opening up and development, and there will be a series of celebration held throughout the exposition site. 
 
Emblem and Mascot of Expo 2010 Shanghai China
The emblem, depicting the image of three people-you, me, him/her holding hands together, symbolizes the big family of mankind. Inspired by the shape of the Chinese character “世” (meaning the world), the design conveys the organizers' wish to host an Expo which is of global scale and which showcases the diversified urban cultures of the world. Created from the Chinese character “人” which means people, the mascot embodies the character of Chinese culture and echoes with the designing concept of the emblem of World Expo Shanghai. Using the Chinese character as the mascot of an international event is an innovation.
 
Main Festivals and Activities during Expo 2010 Shanghai China
There are 33 to 35 venues for events during the 184 days of Expo, including the opening and closing ceremonies, National/Special Day, opening and closing of the Expo Site, high-tech thematic show, new stage production and thematic events.
