Ecotourism in AmericaOnce a time, tropical beach was very populous in holidays. Americans had great passions about the sun, the sea and the sand and deeply enjoyed the beach sights. While in recent years, with people’s environmental awareness greatly raised, the concept of ecotourism becomes very populous and Americans begin to pursue higher cheerful spirit.
Ecotourism has now more populous than tennis and golf. People usually adopt camping to experience nature. It costs less and much freer than traditional travel. Therefore, it is welcomed by wage earners. In America, there are more than 20,000 camping sites in which you can see all kinds of tourists, like gray-hair couples, a whole family in a van and young people in tents.
The objects of ecotourism are natural scenery. So tourists cannot bring ordinary living habits to the nature, especially the wild animals. Here no transport tools are available. Tourists should walk on foot instead of by bus or car. And camping in tents is encouraged. During the trip, all the wastes should be thrown into garbage can so as to prevent water and soil from polluted. “Leaving footprint and taking away pictures” has become a common sense among the public.

Interpretive centres provide a great starting point to explore the natural beauty of Canada’s landscape. National Parks, Provincial Parks, and Reserves often have these centres or a welcome station which guides you through the importance of the particular destination.

Australia is the only place in the world where two World Heritage areas meet; the Great Barrier Reef and Australia’s Tropical Rainforests.
The Great Barrier Reef is undisputed as one of the world’s most important natural assets. It is the largest natural feature on earth stretching more than 2,300km along the northeast coast of Australia from the northern tip of Queensland to just north of Bundaberg. It is also the largest World Heritage Area in the world.
The Tropical Rainforests provide a living museum with living descendants of plants originating from the ancient stock of Gondwana. Gondwana was a super-continent which existed hundreds of millions of years ago with Australia the last continent to break away. For 30 million years in Australia life evolved in isolation with the mountainous regions of the east coast allowing the ancient rainforests to survive with many species little changed since the evolution of the first flowering plants.
