"The fundamental objective of our country's economic growth is to improve the material and cultural well-being of the people," Wen said during a trip to the northeastern province of Liaoning from Friday to Saturday.

In the Wafangdian Bearing Group Corporation, Wen called on enterprises to help China's college graduates find jobs, and encouraged college graduates to work at grassroots levels, and to contribute their wisdom to the society by starting their own businesses.

While visiting the Dalian Central Hospital, Wen talked with doctors and patients and inquired about the effects of the medical insurance system and reform of the wage system for health and medical units.

At a community health center in Dalian's Shigang District, Wen said community health centers should be as trustworthy as major hospitals, and urged community health centers to improve their management.
