BEIJING, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor Meng Jianzhu on Monday urged Party officials in public security departments to enhance learning so as to better fulfill their obligations and tasks.
Meng called for efforts to promote the fine traditions and workstyles of the Communist Party of China and strictly abide by Party disciplines.
Officials should bear in mind their missions, share the burdens of the Party and be devoted to their duties, he said, adding that they should think and act for the majority of the people.
He called for more efforts to improve the management and services of public security departments and agencies and urged officials to do practical things that are in people's needs and helpful for the improvement of their living standards.
Party officials should also have a down-to-earth attitude toward their work, embrace innovation and be free of corruption, said Meng, minister of public security.
