Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping said Sunday that members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) should use the gist of the just-concluded Fourth Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee to better study the Scientific Outlook on Development.
BEIJING, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping said Sunday that members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) should use the gist of the just-concluded Fourth Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee to better study the Scientific Outlook on Development.
Xi said at a meeting that studying the scientific theory can also help understand the Party session gist.
The Scientific Outlook on Development stresses people-oriented, coordinated and sustainable economic and social development. It was brought forward by President Hu Jintao in 2003 at the 3rd Plenary Session of the 16th CPC Central Committee.
Xi said it is a major political task for the whole CPC now and in a future period of time to study and implement the Party session gist.
The CPC session, which concluded on Sept. 18, decided to expand democracy within the Party and further fight corruption.
When studying the scientific development theory, Party members across the country should earnestly listen to public opinions and find out and solve "prominent problems", Xi said.
