The exhibition was one of 15 major cultural and arts programs in the capital to celebrate the National Day, which falls on Oct. 1.
Friday's exhibition featured 102 pieces of Chinese painting, oil painting and sculpture. Their subjects centered on key events and figures in China's struggles against imperialism, feudalism, and colonialism since 1840, and its socialist reform and development.
Li urged organizers to invite more teenagers and foreign guests to visit the exhibition.
