BEIJING, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese top political advisor Jia Qinglin urged members of the political advisory body to contribute more concrete ideas for the country's economic development under the new circumstances and challenges.
"With talent and wisdom, the country's advisors should focus on researching the changes of the overseas economic environment and the new situations and problems emerging during the country's economic development," said Jia, a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau.
Jia made the remarks at a meeting held by the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the country's top advisory body, to study and discuss the essence of the just-concluded Fourth Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee.
Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, urged advisors to choose major, comprehensive and strategic topics for researches and discussion.
He also called upon advisors to positively take part in the education campaign for ethnic unity and understand that the country's fight against separatism was long-term and complicated.
