Olympic champion He Chong of China won the gold on the men's 3-meter springboard at the world championships here on Thursday.
ROME, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Olympic champion He Chong of China won the gold on the men's 3-meter springboard at the world championships here on Thursday.
He fought off a late challenge from American Troy Dumais to win with a total of 505.20. Dumais was second on 498.40.

Canada's former champion Alexandre Despatie, third placer in the synchronised 3-meter event with Reuben Ross, won a second bronze.
China's Zhang Xinhua, silver winner with in the 1-meter springboard, finished fourth.
