1. If I want to go to China to take Chinese language programs, how should I do with visa?
Generally, international students shall arrive at China University and register with ordinary passport and “X” visa or “F” visa.
International students who prepare to study in China for more than six months shall apply for X visa to Chinese visa authority in foreign countries; those who prepare to study in China for exact or less than six months shall apply for F visa to Chinese visa authority in foreign countries. According to regulation, those students are required to submit the original or scanned copy of the following documents:
i. Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW201 or JW 202)
ii. Admission notice of China Unviersity
iii. Physical examination record for foreigner
International students shall come to China and register for the university with the original copy of the documents above. Those students who hold passort or visa of other catagories or do not carry the original copy of the docments above shall not be allowed to register for China Unviersity, neither can they be allowed to apply for the residence permit in China.
International students who study in China for a short term in form of group shall also be able to apply for F group visa with the invitation by authorized units. Those studetns shall apply for the residence permit to the exit and entry department of local public security within 30 days from the date of their entry.
2. What kind of heath certificate is required if I want to further my study in China?
International students shall go through the confirmation formality of Physical examination record for foreigner in the health and quarantine departments within the time limit after arriving at China. Students are requested to do the health examination in local health and quarantine department if they cannot provide the Physical examination record for foreigner. Those students who have been confirmed to have the diseases which carriers are forbidden to enter China according to laws, shall leave promptly and return to their motherland and the cost of returning should be assumed by themselfves.
3. How to issue the health certificate and residence permit?
Health certificate: Scholarship international students who has the preparation of studying in China for over six months shall have the health certificate issued by the health and quarantine department of the city where the university is located with passport, admission notice, Physical examination record for foreigner andblood test record and other required documents after arriving at China.
Residence permit: Scholarship international students who has passed the health examination or proved to be healthy after examing again shall have the residence permit issued in the republic security of the city where the university is located with passport, admission notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW201) within 30 days from the date of their arrival.
4. Shall I apply for insurance in China if I have had insurance already in the United State?
International students who prepate to study in China at their own expense should apply for the meidical insurance and accident insurance. Those students can either effect insurance in their motherland or after arriving at China.
