All through history, people of successive Chinese dynasties like constructing the pavilion. Ancient poets and writers also preferred to compose poetries to express thoughts and feelings there. It can be said that Chinese pavilions are the best example of Chinese traditional culture. The following 10 pavilions are the most representative ones, which are definitely good places for your Chinese culture trip.
 
The Yellow Crane Tower is on the border of the Yangtze River. It stands at the top of Snake Hill. It's splendid. Naturally, it becomes a well-known tourist attraction. The roof is covered by 100,000 yellow glazed tiles. With yellow upturned eaves, each floor seems to have been designed to resemble a yellow crane spreading its wings to fly.
 
The Yueyang Pavilion is a three storey; rectangular building which reaches 15 meters high and is constructed entirely from wood. Surprisingly, no nails or beams have been used in its construction. This is a rare feature in classical architecture. Seen from a distance, the Yueyang Pavilion seems like a giant bird which is in flight. The red building with its yellow glazed roof tiles is a splendid and colorful sight.
 
Tengwang Pavilion is located on the shore of the Kan, in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It also has the reputation of being the 'First Pavilion of Xijiang River' and has been widely admired by visitors from all over the world. In terms of its height, overall size and architectural style, this pavilion is a prime example of such buildings for which China is justifiably famous.
 
The roofs of the pavilion were painted golden, and the pavilion appears elegant in between the verdant trees. The south gate (the facade) faces Dianchi Lake; on both sides of the south gate were the couplet written by Sun Ranweng, a poor scholar in Qing Dynasty; this couplet of 180 Chinese characters is believed to be the longest antithetical couplet in the world and one of the most valued cultural treasures in Yunnan.
 
Guanque Attic was built in Northern Zhou Dynasty (557 to 580 A.D.) and destroyed in early Yuan Dynasty. Because of the magnificent attic and beautiful landscapes around, many scholars and poets in Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty came here and they wrote a lot of great poems. The most famous poem may be Deng Guangquelou written by Wang Zhihuan. This poem has been spread generation to generation.
 
Yanyu Pavilion is a magnificent architecture in Jiaxing. It is 30 meters high with the bottom built up by large masonry.It is the the main building in the in the heart of Nanhu Lake. The entire park covers an area of 11 acres, surrounded by Long Beach circle, which is always a good to watch the lake wiew.
 
Zhenhai Tower is one of the symbolic buildings in Guangzhou. It shapes as a rectangle with 25 meters in length, 31 meters in breadth and 16 meters in depth. Every floor has dual eaves covered by green glazed tiles and decorated by fish and flowers painted with Shiwan glazed color, it is majestic and magnificent with red walls and green tiles and therefore is said to be the "No.1 scenic spot of Lingnan".
 
Jiaxiu Tower
As the landmark of Guiyang, Jiaxiu Tower is also called the First Scholar's Tower. Originally built in 1598 in the Ming times, the tower is magnificent and unique, and is of great culture significance in Guiyang. Jiaxiu Tower is a three-storey tower of 20 meters high. It is renowned for its layout with three carved eaves supported by a stone pillar. Located in water, connected by the Fuyu Bridge at two banks, Jiaxiu Tower looks spectacular.
 
Taibai Tower is situated on the way to Huangshan Mountain and Thousand-isle Lake. It is a double-storey building with the exemplified traditional architectural style. It is said that in the prosperous time of Tang Dynasty, the great romantic poet Li Po visited Xu Xuanping, who was a hermit in Shexian County, but they missed each other on the riverbank of Lianjiang River. So the later people specially built this tower at the location where Li Po drunk wine. And they named this tower as Taibai Tower, because Taibai was another name of Li Po.
 
Chenghuang Tower, with its elaborately designed structure, stands on the top of Wu Hill. The design on the top symbolized phoenix stretching its wings, and gives people the impression of “dragon flying and phoenix dancing at Qiantang”. Nobody knows when the scroll of the vast lakes and hills was painted. The light on the tower is brighter than lights in thousands of households.
