Xisha Islands
Located 330 kilometers southeast of south China’s Hainan Province, the Xisha Islands are one of four big island groups in the South China Sea. Since Xisha is far offshore and rarely visited, the water around them is very clean, with a visibility of 40 meters. Xisha has a long stretch of continuous coral reefs. Sea plants and fishes of great variety live nearby and numerous sea birds inhabit the islands.
 
Formed by volcanic rock and lava, Weizhou is China’s largest and youngest volcanic island, famous not only for its sea, sun and sand, but also living coral and its distinctive volcanic bay views. Stretching six kilometers from north to south and five kilometers from east to west, the island presents two different types of views in the southern and northern parts. The southern part of the island features examples of volcanic topography. Dominated by flatter and more open morphology, the northern part is lower with sandbars, beaches and rocks.
 
Nansha Islands

The Penghu Archipelago consists of 64 islands scattered over an expanse of sea 60 kilometers long and 22 kilometers Wide in the Taiwan Straits. The islands have a total land area of 127 square kilometers and a combined coastline some 320 kilometers in length. The islands of the Penghu group are generally flat, and many of them are characterized by vertical cliffs dropping to the sea. From a distance, they look like mesas rising abruptly from the water. Penghu is perfect for both water and land-based recreational activities. Marine recreation includes deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, dolphin watching, coral viewing from glass-bottom boats, and visiting uninhabited islands.
 
Nanji Chain Islands
The chain islands on the Nanji Mountain have elegant and beautiful oceanic sceneries with well preserved ecology. The Nanji Island is the main island of the Nanji chain islands in a shape of muntjac with the head in a northwestward direction and the tail in a southeast direction. It has an average annual temperature of 16.5℃. The sea water is clear and blue all the year around. The rocks develop into the landscapes of sea cliff, column, cave, and platform, etc, due to the long-term erosion and swash of sea waves. There are scenic areas, such as Dasha’ao, Guoshengao, Sanpanwei, Dalei Mountain, and Bamboo Islet, etc.
