Taxi in Guilin
Taxis are mostly Jetta, Santana or Citron. The taxi fare during the day (06:30 to 23:00) starts from CNY6-7 for the first 2 kilometers (1.24miles), CNY1.4-1.6 per kilometer over 2 kilometers to less than 4 kilometers (2.48miles) and CNY2 for each additional kilometer (0.62 mile); at night (23:00 to 06:30 the next morning), the flag fair is CNY7.8, CNY1.8 per kilometer for 2 kilometers to less than 4 kilometers and CNY2.4 for each additional kilometer (0.62 mile).
 
Bicycle in Guilin
Guilin is a compact city so using a bicycle is a good option. “When in Rome, do as the Romans do” as the saying goes.  Riding a bicycle will let you experience the leisurely pace of life in rural China. Bicycles can be rented at most hotels. The charge is either by the hour or the day depending how long you wish to have the bicycle. The daily rate is approximately CNY15.

This art shop is an extravaganza of masterpieces collected over a long period of time; some of the paintings are centuries old. It contains three exhibition halls with paintings from masters from different periods and from different painting schools.
 
Painted Fan
The small town of Fuli close to Yangshuo is specializes in painted fan making. A vast majority of locals in the town are involved in this ancient craft. These fans are excellent quality and look beautiful, decorated with painted flowers, birds, insects and traditional Chinese girls.
