The 2008 Olympic Games has come to a close in China successfully. In addition to the host city Beijing, there are other six co-host cities -- Shanghai, Tianjin, Hong Kong, Qingdao, Shenyang and Qinhuangdao. We collect the following 10 well-known scenic spots in the six cities for your trip to China.
 
Qingdao Seaside
Qingdao, a beautiful seaside city, is located in the southeast part of Shandong Province. Surrounded by the sea on three sides, Qingdao attracts many tourists with its charming seascape. Sights like the Eight Passes Villas, the Zhan Bridge, Wusi Square, Mt. Laoshan, will help you remember Qingdao. Just walking on the sand and listening to the surf breaking on the beach becomes enjoyable.
 
Qingdao Seashore Sidewalk
It is an open scenic spot with Tuandao Ring Road to the west and Shilaoren Tourist Holiday Resort to the east. The total length is 16.9 km or so. It links together a series of scenic spots including Zhanqiao Pier Park, Navy Museum, Lu Xun Park, Little Qingdao Park, May 4th Square, No.1 Bathing Beach, Badaguan Villas Area and Shilaoren Bathing Beach, constituting a unique seashore scenic corridor.
 
Being one of the Top Ten Shanghai Attractions, the Bund is a really beautiful and special place which is worth visiting. The most famous and attractive sight which is at the west side of the Bund are the 52 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance.
 
With the height of 340.1 meters and an area of 1,520 square meters, the 88th story sightseeing hall in Shanghai is the largest sightseeing hall in China at present. It is decorated luxuriously with the natural marbles and the marbles on the wall is only 3 millimeters thick. Tourists may have a broad view of the grand metropolitan scenery alone the Huangpu River and the mouth of Yang through the glass curtain wall.
 
The palace is not only famous for its ancient imperial architecture, but also enjoys great fame internationally for its abundant collections. The palace exhibits a large number of the remaining imperial relics, such as the sword once used by Nurhachi.
 
Tianjin Five Avenues
Tianjin Five Avenues, with the reputation of “World Building Exposition”, has become the most attractive humanities tourism destination which fully shows the city’s charisma and historical situation. There are nearly 2000 western buildings of various European styles designed and built in the early of last century that have been completely preserved.

Qinhuangdao Jiaoshan Great Wall
Three kilometers north of Shanhaiguan, the easternmost pass through the main section of the Great Wall, stands the 500- meter Jiaoshan Peak. Though relatively diminutive in size, this is the first actual mountain the Great Wall passes heading west, and so is known as "the first mountain of the Great Wall."
