China's thousands of years of history not only formed its large number human landscape, but also left many well-known natural wonders because of natural changes. If you are an adventure lover, the following five glaciers will let you know the nature’s uncanny workmanship.
The Touming Mengke Glaciers, the largest valley glacier in the Qilian Range, is 10.1 kilometers long and covers an area of 21.9 square kilometers. Its main peak is 5,481 meters above sea level. As Touming Mengke developed in an arid environment, it has the physical properties of a typical continental glacier. The glacier’s only loss of heat comes from evaporation and because it hardly melts, the glacier has changed little. Its stability is demonstrated by its average annual retreat of only 0.94 meter, estimated by movement of the glacier markers between 1985 and 2002.

The Hailuogou glacier rests in the valley that stretches down from Mt. Gongga Shan. Sharing the valley with the glacier are dozens of protected plant and animal species. For roughly 1,600 years this ice wall has been creeping and carving its way down to the forests below towards Moxi, grinding down trees and breaking rocks. The river Dadu, created by glacial melt, continues to alter the landscape further down the valley.

The Rongbuk Glacier is located in the Himalaya of southern Tibet. Two large tributary glaciers, the East and West Rongbuk Glaciers flow into the Rongbuk Glacier. There are thousands of magnificent rare seracs, fluffy ice and ice bridges as well as 10m-hight ice cliffs and breathtaking glittery ice cracks, in addition to the risky Zener region, all of which would be a big stimulation.

Below the Telamkanli Peak in the Karakorum Range, the Telamkanli Glacier extends for over 28 kilometers, covering an area of 124.53 square kilometers. Its net ice reserve is 26.774 cubic kilometers, a veritable solid "water tower".The most remarkable and attractive sight on the Telamkanli Glacier is its serac forest. In the serac forest, one can also see glacial karst landscape-ice caves, big high ice tables, ice bridges, ice mushrooms and ice shoots, creating a unique glacier garden.

Tuomuer is the peak of the Tianshan Mountains, Elevation of 7,443 meters, and is Tianshan’s major water resource of north-south. "Tuomur" in Weiwuer language means "Iron Mountain". The Tuomur glacier is the most developed of the modern Glacier area, and also the most complete preservation of the ancient glaciers relic. Since Chinese climbers debuted Tuomur in 1977, almost no travelers there for 20 years.
