What's the standards of the boby fitness? Have you ever take a notice on all the physical fitness components? If not, come to the following articles, it may enrich your fitness knowledges.
One’s level of physical fitness can be gauged by how a person measures up against the five basic components of fitness. These are cardio respiratory endurance; muscular strength; muscular endurance; flexibility; and body composition.
Cardio respiratory Endurance – is basically the ability of the heart and lungs to supply fuel (in the form of oxygen and nutrients) to all parts of the body during sustained periods of physical activity. Cardio respiratory endurance is not gained overnight, but is achieved gradually over an extended period of time. To improve on your cardio respiratory endurance, you should be involved in activities that will raise your heart rate.
Muscular Strength – is roughly defined the ability of your muscles to exert force for short periods of time or during an activity. To increase muscular strength, you need to make your muscles work against a form or resistance, and exercises that improve muscular strength are usually those that involve lifting weights.
Muscular Endurance - the ability of a group of muscles to continue to perform repetitive motions without exhibiting fatigue is how muscular endurance is defined. If you want to work on your muscular endurance, you should perform activities such as walking, jogging or cycling. Activities to improve on muscular endurance are similar to those that improve your cardio respiratory endurance.
Flexibility – the body’s ability to move around freely without experiencing any pain or discomfort is how you measure your flexibility. Flexibility is improved by taking part of slow moving exercises that involves a lot of stretching.
Body Composition – Body composition may or may be included as a component of fitness. There are some who think this should be and others who do not. At any rate, body composition is the term used to describe the makeup of the body in terms of lean and fat mass. A physically fit person has a higher percentage of lean mass compared to the fat in his body.
