Ministry of Civil Affairs in China makes a certain number of provisions in The Regulation of Chinese Citizen and Outward Chinese Citizen in Handling Marriage Registration: the male and female who have applied registration must obey the Matrimonial Law and the relevant provisions.They should possess the respective vouchers:
Chinese Citizen must possess the following vouchers:
1. Support Document of Personal Household Register
2. The above-the county level government or the working place of the personal domicile location should provide the principal name, gender, date of birth, nationality, civil state( unmarried, divorced, bereft of the spouse), job occupation, job category, the certificate of marriage registration.
The outward Chinese Citizen must possess the following voucher:
1. The personal passport or the other certificate of identity and nationality;
2. The residence certificate of the outward Chinese issued by Our Public Police Organs or the Identity Document issued by the Bureau of Foreign Affairs as well as the temporary residence or immigration certificate.
3. The Certificate of Civil State should be issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the concerned embassy.
4. The foreign students who are in Technical Secondary School, Junior College and the undergraduates shouldn’t get married. In spite of the mentioned-above certificates, the other student (visiting scholar, graduate students) who require marrying with the Chinese Citizen must possess the academic certificate issued by the relevant department.
5. The Divorce Certificate of the digamist and the Death Certificate of the Spouse should be issued by the embassy.
The Foreign Nationals must possess the following vouchers:
1. The personal passport which is issued by the relevant embassy.
2. The authentical Notary Organization of Residence Country should provide the mateless certificate or the Mateless Certificate issued by our concerned embassy.
3.The Divorce Voucher or the Death Certificate must be issued by our Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassy.
In addition, the male and female who apply to get married must submit the premarital health inspection certificate that is provided by the designated hospital.
