In accordance with the laws in effect, you may appoint the lawyers in China to be your agents in litigations. Following materials need notarizing when you appoint lawyers in China to be your agents:

(1) Your certificates of identity such as ID card, which needs notarizing in the country where you are staying at present
      
(2) Your marriage certificate, which needs notarizing in the country where you are staying at present as well.
      
(3) The letter of specific appointment with a unique format, which needs notarizing in the country where you are staying at present.
      
(4) If you are the plaintiff in the litigation, you have to give the notarized civil pleading to your agents in China. If you are the defendant in the litigation, you have to draw the declaration of divorce concerning your attitude on divorce, child custody and division of common properties. The declaration shall be submitted to the people’s court by the agent after notarizing in the country where you are staying at present.
