The interviews can be divided into three kinds: the first kind is that 50% of the students will be eliminated in the interview. These colleges are mainly superior-first rank colleges such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, etc. The second kind is that 10% of the students will be eliminated in the interview. The third kind is that there is no elimination of the interview. In face of the above-mentioned interviews which have different difficulty levels, you should first make sure what interview you are going to take and then prepare it.

Understand the basic content of the interview
The time of Chinese MBA interview is always very short. The personal interview won’t be more than half an hour. Some short one may be only 10 minutes. The group interview won’t be more than 1 hour. Some short one may be only 30 minutes. Various colleges’ interview methods are different. Therefore, you must make different preparations.

For personal interview, you need to prepare for 4 parts: the first part is to introduce yourself. You must speak easily without thinking hard during the interview. The key point is to present the strong point in your job and life. By showing your strong point, you can leave a good impression to the examiner.

The second part is the random questions asked by the examiner. This part mainly in connection with the examinee’s information reflected in the self introduction. The examiner may add a question to the point which he is interested in or not clear. If your introduction is not the same with the true condition and the examiner finds it. It may be very unfavorable to your interview.

The third part is questions about basic management knowledge and principle. Some colleges may decide the questions by sortition. For this part, you should spend some time to go over the basic teaching materials before the interview. And it may be not hard to pass.

The grasp of the interview particulars
An interview is a battle, especially an interview for the selection of the MBA talents. Therefore, you should pay attention to the processing of the details below. If not, you may lose the greater for the less.

1.   Refined self-introduction
If the introduction is too simple, your elegant achievement can’t be showed. If the introduction is too pleonastic, the focal point and strong point can’t be presented.

2.    A brief and target-oriented answer to the question
You can’t answer the questions blindly when you are not quite certain about the questions or else you may give an irrelevant answer. At the same time, don’t only answer your question and forget to observe whether the examiner is interested in your answer.

3.   Insist on your own idea and be flexible
The art of the management determines the solution variety of the management. The examinee and the examiner may have different views on some questions. The opposite self-oriented dispute has more disadvantages than advantages. The communication and coordination mode a manager use to reach an agreement can reflect the manager’s quality.
