“Huanyin, Nihao!” The mandarin sounds not standard but full of passions. Last night, 20 international students from Medical School Wuhan University volunteered at Second East-West Lake International Beer Festival in Wuhan. They positively guided and took photos for tourists.

The leader teacher Fan from Wuhan University said these students belong to the class of 2012 from different countries such as France, Britain, Somalia, India, Benin, and Kenya etc. “There are many foreign guests on the Beer Festival so we need volunteers who can master both Chinese and English.” Fan said they are invited by East-West Lake District to be volunteers on 22th September. This is a great chance for students to practice Chinese language while closely understand Chinese culture and comprehend Wuhan’s special culture and custom.

A volunteer from Benin named Meili said: “it takes me more than 1 hour to arrive at East-West Lake District. However, I am happy all the time. Beer Festival is interesting with a lot of delicious food and we could make many friends here.”

Fan said students feel the passion and kindness of Wuhan people in these 2 days. They are outgoing and are skilled at singing and dancing. Guests in the Beer Festival had fun with them by talking and drinking beer.
