The news briefing of 2012 China Happiness And Health Tour ·Launching Ceremony of China-Russia Tourism Year ·the 28th China Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival Opening Ceremony, which is organized by National Tourism Administration of the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Government of Heilongjiang Province and sponsored by Heilongjiang Tourism Administration and Harbin Municipal People’s Government, was held in Beijing. Zhu Shanzhong, Vice Chairman of China National Tourism Administration, Tomikhin Evgeny, Russian Minister Counsellor to China, Sun Dongsheng, Vice Chairman of Heilongjiang Provincial CPPCC, Lin Duo, Mayor of Harbin City, and other leaders attended and addressed the news briefing.
According to Mr. Zhu Shanzhong, CNTA has decided to take “2012 China Happiness &Health Tour” as the theme to promote tours in China, with an aim to further enrich and deepen the connotation of tourism, advocate a healthy and educational tourism, diversify one’s experience and broaden knowledge, and promote physical health and self-cultivation. In overseas campaigns, it will strive to build up a more positive image of tourism in China: and in domestic activities, it will contribute to the establishment and improvement of a harmonious atmosphere in the whole society, amplify China’s natural and cultural tourism products, and boost the development of new operational types of tourism and the upgrading of the industry. A consensus was reached between leaders of the both countries to hold reciprocal Tourism Years. It has been officially decided through consultation that the Russia Tourism Year is to be held in China in 2012, and the China Tourism Year in Russia in 2013. This is another significantly themed annual event between the two countries after the reciprocal State Year and the Language Year.
