Yu Dan, a culture studies scholar says, "For Chinese people, food is more than just satisfying hunger. It has a manner of its own and rules of living. Courtesy and customs are carried out by the ceremonial sense toward food. It reflects the humble love of Chinese people for food. It is gratitude and respect."

 

"A Bite of China" delivers the sweet sense of food from the tip of the tongue deep to one’s heart. Memories of the old days remind people of how Chinese ancestors treated traditional food in a natural and harmonious way.
