British Leeds university international business Confucius institute's foundation ceremony was inaugurated in November 28th,2012.It was the third business Confucius institute in Europe, the other two were the Confucius institutes of University of Copenhagen and London school of Economics and Politics. The Confucius institute is set up by Leeds university and University of International Business and Economics,Beijing,which is to combine their respective advantages of discipline and domestic business ties, spread Chinese business culture, promote Business Chinese, provide Chinese business culture and etiquette training for multinational companies and British local companies ,Offer guidance on investment to Chinese firms, promote Sino-British trade. ShiJianJun，principal of UIBE, said that UIBE is in a leading position in education and scientific research area of finance, business,comparing with China similar institutions ,UIBE has opened six business Confucius institute in universities in the United States, Russia, Japan, Greece, Brazil and Mexico. Leeds University's is UIBE's seventh worldwide, Britain's first business Confucius institute . He pointed out that, the two sides is to build new education model, combine Chinese language teaching and Sino-British business closely, train the senior management personnel, managers, entrepreneurs in England, who are preparing to enter the Chinese market, who are interested in the Chinese business ,Chinese culture, thus further promote the bilateral communication and cooperation in economic and trade business .
