Central China Normal University, one of the best universities in China, offers large amount of scholarships and diverse programs to attract more international students
Central China Normal University (CCNU) released its 2011 Admission Programs last month, revealing its ambition and bold action programs to enroll more international students.
In response to "Study in China Program" launched by PRC Ministry of Education, CCNU formulated its "Study at CCNU Programs for Overseas Students" and vowed to toss big offers to attract more international students. In 2011, it will offer ¥500,000 scholarships for overseas students, including China Scholarship Council (CSC) scholarships for about 20 students, CCNU Distinguished Student Scholarships for 100 students, Confucius Institute Scholarships for 27 students, CCNU Scholarships for Featured Specialty Areas for 45 students (specialty areas covered are CCNU's brand programs, e.g. Chinese Society Development, Chinese History and Culture and Chinese Language and Education), CCNU Nationality-specific Scholarships for students from Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Turkey, Turkmenistan,etc (For details, go to http://www.at0086.com/Enterprise/Website/UniversityCCNU/plan_scholarship.aspx ). Besides, as a token of gratitude, China University Application Center will offer ¥2000 for all the applicants for CCNU's pre-degree program, the best pre-degree program in the central China. Furthermore, CCNU increased English-taught programs to solicit more enrollments. Founded in 1903, CCNU is a comprehensive and prestigious university on the list of “211 National Project” of China. During a splendid legacy of over 100 years, CCNU has developed a profound historical tradition. The university consists of 24 schools and departments, more than 60 research institutes (centers) , and offers 59 bachelor’s programs, 94 doctoral programs and 184 master’s programs. At present the university has a student body of over 30,000, of whom 8000 are post graduates; more than 1600 are international students. The university has earned both national and international recognition for first-rate humanity programs, superior natural science programs and extraordinary engineering programs. The university is one of the first institutions of higher learning in China authorized to enroll overseas students and it is one of the few National Chinese Language Education Bases accredited by the State Council.
