On the 30 of November 2011, Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Moldova held an official meeting regarding the event organized by Confucius Institute at Free International University of Moldova during which a group of experts in education and culture from the Republic of Moldova visited China, and attended the program regarding the Chinese language teaching materials organized by Hanban.

The symposium was hosted by the counselor from the Chinese Embassy, Mrs. Zhen Shuqin. With this occasion the ambassador, Mr. Fang Li, congratulated all participants from the Republic of Moldova with their successful visit in China. The ambassador, Mr. Fang Li said that from the time when the relation between China and Moldova started, till now, this is the first time to organize such a big delegation to visit China, this fact reflects how important is for Chinese government to develop bilateral relations with Moldova, and shows the Chinese people friendly attitude towards Moldovan people. He hopes through this friendship experience between modern China and Moldova, the participants can share their good feelings with their friends and colleagues, which will development the bilateral relation between the two countries, especially in the cultural and educational field.

 

 

 

 

The Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at Free International University of Moldova, Mrs. Zhao Huangai said at the symposium that Confucius Institute at Free International University of Moldova is the unique CI in the Republic of Moldova. It was established more than two years ago, in this period of time more than 300 students attended the Chinese language and culture classes. Confucius Institute every year offers scholarships to Moldovan citizens, provides the opportunity for the teachers from Moldova to participate Chinese text material trainings in China. Mrs. Zhao said that she hopes that people from Moldova will help to promote Chinese language and contribute to the cultural exchange.

 

 

 

 

 

Some representatives from the participants who attended the training in China spoke on behalf of the whole team. They expressed their gratefulness for the fact that Chinese part gave them such an opportunity, especially to Hanban, to the Embassy of China in Moldova and Confucius Institute at Free International University of Moldova who made a lot of efforts to enable this project. They mentioned the schedule of the event was very interesting and very well done. For the participants was especially interesting to learn how to paint the bamboo, to make Chinese dumplings, to watch Beijing opera, to study how to make the Chinese knots, to practice Taijiquan and other cultural activities, which let the participants feel the real charm of Chinese culture.
