September 10th, 2013 marked as China’s 29th Teachers’ Day, on which the Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Mr. Huang Yong and his wife Madam Tong Xiaoling met and dined at their residence with the Chinese language teachers at Confucius Institute and Yat Sen School. The new Counselor of Embassy Mr. Yang Zhaohui and the Head of Consular Section Mr. Hao Yongwang were present during the meeting.
H.E. Mr. Huang Yong first congratulated on the Teachers’ Day and acknowledged the hard work and great achievements made by the Chinese teachers in language teaching and cultural promotion. He said that in recent years, the friendly relationship between China and Fiji has been consolidated and furthered in the fields of politics, culture, education, etc. He hopes all the teachers could remember their commitments and make positive effort to contribute to the relationship between the two countries. ‘The Embassy will always be there to support and be a home for all the teachers’ Mr. Ambassador said.
Mr. Huang also took the opportunity to greet the teachers Happy Moon Festival and a Chinese National Day in advance.
On behalf of all the teachers, the Chinese Director of Confucius Institute at the University of the South Pacific (CI-USP) Mr. Li Denggui then delivered a short speech, in which he expressed his great appreciation for Mr. Huang’s hospitality and Chinese Embassy’s care and help to all the teachers both in their work and life. Mr. Li extended his special thanks to the Embassy for their usual guidance and support to CI-USP. He also expressed the determination to fulfill the commitment, overcome difficulties and work harder to contribute to a friendly bilateral relation between China and Fiji and with excellent achievement to report to motherland.
