Yonhap reported that Ministry of Education in Kyungnam, Korean selected 16 Chinese teachers to teach Chinese language in 9 primary schools and 7 middle schools in Kyungnam.

The Chinese teachers will help the Korean teachers to teach or independently teach Chinese language in after-school Chinese language training classes or in junior and senior school classes. All these Chinese teachers are master’s students from local Chinese universities, the longest appointment can be 2 years.

Ministry of Education of Kyungnam pointed out that number of schools equipped with Chinese teachers increased from last year’s 9 to 16 now as the demand for learning Chinese as second language increased.
