The Confucius Institute at University of Khartoum (CIUOFK) held an opening ceremony in the morning for the first Chinese language course for learners at Ministry of Finance in Sudan
Khartoum, June 8th, 2012—The Confucius Institute at University of Khartoum (CIUOFK) held an opening ceremony in the morning for the first Chinese language course for learners at Ministry of Finance in Sudan. Present at the ceremony included the Deputy Minister, 20 officials from Ministry of Finance, both Chinese and Sudanese Directors at CIUOFK and some teachers.
The Sudanese Ministry of Finance gave great support to the first term of the Chinese language course. A special classroom with a laptop and projector was offered for the course. CIUOFK made full teaching plans and donated Chinese textbooks to the learners
At the ceremony, the Deputy Minister stated their sincere gratitude to CIUOFK, and encouraged the 20 officials to study Chinese language hard so as to reach a higher level in reading and writing. The Directors at CIUOFK introduced the course plan and expressed their hopes that the learners could get to know China and Chinese culture better through Chinese language learning.
At present, CIUOFK has established 4 teaching sites which have opened Chinese courses for the public. More and more government officials are beginning to learn the Chinese language.
