In recent years, with the globalization of the Chinese economy, so will Chinese education be on the world stage. This afternoon, on the Ministry of Education micro blogopen day, Zhang Xiuqin, the director of international cooperation and communication in the ministry of education mentioned that in order to promote the internationalization of education, China will take steps to attract more international students to study abroad in China.

During the interview, some people ask that whether China will follow the education development of Australia and become the beneficiary.

To the question, Zhang Xiuqin responses that the average growth rate of the international students’ number has always been in double figures in the past 5 years and at present the number is about 330000. International cooperation and communication in the ministry of education has taken steps such as opening new courses, adding foreign language teaching class, setting up scholarships to make the number of international students up to 500000.

The ministry of education attaches great importance to the American plan which aims at sending 100000 students to study abroad in China and was put forward by Barack Obama when he visited China. Now, 620 China universities accept international students sent by America. And 68000 American students which mainly distribute in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, have come to China to study through that plan.

Zhang xiuqin has also given confirmation to the effects of promoting the internalization of education making by the international cooperation universities such as Ningbo university of Nottingham, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Shanghai New York University. She thought that, in some degree, these universities had innovated the system of running mechanism; Promoted the reform of education; enriched the supply of education; satisfied various educational requirements; broaden the ways to talents training. In the next step, the ministry of education will keep on following education planning outline; taking introduction of high quality educational resources; promoting the demonstration of high level of Sino foreign cooperative education institution and project.
