London South Bank University found Confucius for TCM
Chinese medicine is one of the traditional medicine in the world. So far, Chinese medicine is moving forward to gole of “Being boom domestic ”, “Comparative Advantage” and “Overseas Teaching”.
The State Council published Healthcare Development Twelfth Fiv-Year Plan a few days ago, the “plan” emphasises on enhacning Chinese medicine resources protectiuon, Chinese medicine research and rational use, improving Chinese medicine development, enhancing its inheritation and innovation, basicly building Chinee medicine inheritation and innovation system, actively promoting construction of Chinese medcine egalization, informationization and standardization, and driving Chinese medicine to the world.
Professor Jinyong Li in Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine thought that the increasingly improvement of living quality, the change of medical mode the coming of aging society and incease of chronic case all bring Chinese medicine who has unique advantages of healthcare, defering senility with wide market.
That Chinese medicne has been commonly recognized and spreading all over the wolrd is based on its unique advantages. A professor in Shandong University thought that Chinese medicine is more popular for the culture it inherits. Compared with western medicine, the rich culture connotation is the right advantage that Chinese medicne has. In 2010, “Chinese acupuncture” was took into world Intangible heritage list successfully. In 2011, the Inner Canon of Yello Emperor and Compendium of Materia Medica are listed in memory of the world register. The Yinyang, the five elements, qi theory and neutralization thought are all quintessence of TCM.
On 19th October, the Party’s secretary Diping Chen said on opening cer
emony of “ Nanjing International TCM Forum and World Health Mutual Union in 2012” that Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Local government of Australia reached an agreeemnt to establish healthy college, it will be the first full-time TCM education college out of China. He also said that the college would be listed Australian civil education insititute which mainly enrolls Australian students. TCM graduates are mainly engaged in healthcare and acupuncture and moxibustion
Teaching TCM abraod is key method of “Walk out＂，it has been always attracting attention of experts and scholars. The CPPCC member and Chinese Academy of TCM Acupuncture institute president Jinsheng Yang appeals to develop TCM education, to exchange and spread new approaches, to cultivate excellent “Blus eyes and Yellow hair” Chinese medicine doctor, and make these “Blue eyes and yellow hair” become spreader and messager of TCM
Overseas TCM teaching use to maily rely on “Confucius institute”. There are two methods, the first is that putting TCM into daily teaching, and another one is establishing spercial “Confucius insititute for TCM”. Once China Hanban signed agreetment with London South Bank University in which the world first ““Confucius insititute for TCM” was founded, becoming a milestone of overseas TCM teaching.
