The 4th preliminary of “Chinese bridge” that was organized by the Confucius Institute of University of Valencia was held in the assembly hall of University of Valencia in the 28th of April. Although the outside was raining gently, many people came to participate in the competition and communicate with each other, the enthusiasm of them was not influenced by the bad weather. The auditorium filled with participants and their teachers, parents, friends, cheering relatives and enthusiastic audience, the atmosphere was tense and warm.

The topic of this contest is called “My Chinese dream”, and was separated for the group of university students, the group of high school students and primary school students. We had 14 contestants who were selected initially showed their program. The competition was set up three parts as usual: the lecture, questions and answers of Chinese knowledge and the talent show. In addition, this contest was in order to propagate Chinese culture and encourage foreigners to learn Chinese. Finally we recommended some excellent contestants for “Chinese bridge” of Spain after one week in Madrid.

In Valencia, the annual competition “Chinese Bridge” has become a cultural exchange celebration that people can learn Chinese and experience Chinese traditions. Furthermore this contest is just like a beautiful and grand banquet of cross-culture communication. A large amount of participants comes to Confucius Institute to ask the information of “Chinese Bridge” every year, which is almost became a convention. Besides, this annual contest also realize numerous precious dreams of many people that can learn Chinese in China, experiencing and feeling Chinese true life
