It is the first time that I met the Chinese teacher Simon Ounie in the library of Ghana University, and he was preparing the lessons. Simon had studied in China for four years, not only could he speak fluent Chinese and the most important is that the experience of studying in China made the “Africa dream” reserved in his mind clearly.

In 2008, Simon got the Chinese Government Scholarship and came to China for studying. After studied Chinese in Central China Normal University for one year, he continued to study the Educational economics and management specialty for Master’s degree.

Simon was really interested in Chinese, and his Chinese lever got great progress after taking efforts. On June 1st, 2012, he published one article named My Method of Studying Chinese, which introduced his Chinese learning experience. What’s more, his graduation thesis named Private Payment and Higher Education Opportunity to Expand ——Taking the example of Ghana awarded the outstanding thesis.

Simon said that“Looking around the world, Africa is in the state of poverty and underdevelopment, which is not only the result of colonialism, but also it has the relationship with the overall character and mind.” He said.

Simon also said, “In the future, I will compare the system of economic and polity between China and Ghana and hope to make most of China’s experience for helping the development of Africa. Chinese let me know, if you try your best to do something, you will get the chance to fulfill your dream.”
