Confucius Institutes worked with time-honored Chinese food shops, they organized training courses of cook tips and knowledge for volunteer Chinese teachers. They send the cooks for special teaching of Confucius Institutes, which benefit promotion of Chinese food world -widely.

It is reported that, nearly 4000 volunteer Chinese teachers has taken part in this activity,they can easily cook “the taste of China” with condiments, like oyster sauce, Mapo toufu paste,eggplant with garlic sauce etc.

A well-known brand Lee-Kum-kee whose headquarter is located in Hong Kong, It will work with Confucius Institute to edit textbooks and promote this activity. Confucius Institutes are critical for the spreading of Chinese language,we will make our efforts on mouth and taste buds, to enhance the outwards promotion of Chinese Culture. Lee Mingyu, a leader of Beijing Language and Culture University said.

Till now there are totally 362 Confucius Institutes and 489 Confucius Classrooms in 105 countries and regions globally, which is an important platform and window for foreign countries to study Chinese language and to understand Chinese culture.
