BEIJING, March 31 (Xinhuanet) -- The Second Chinese Arts Festival is drawing to its end in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. A Shaolin Kung fu Troupe stunned audiences there on Thursday. You've got to be tough to put on a show like this.

Of the Kung fu Troupe's 24 Shaolin disciples, the youngest is only 15 years old. But despite their relative youth, they seemed to have little trouble exciting crowds during their hour-long show. For many in the audience, this was their first chance to see Chinese martial arts in the flesh.

An audience member said, "I'm very excited. I like Chinese Kongfu."

But it wasn't all high kicks and heavy blows. Xinjiang folk song and dance also showcased a different side of Chinese culture.

Hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Bahrain, the week-long Chinese Art Festival is part of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum. More than 100 artists have been scheduled to take part in the event.

Yang Weiguo, Chinese Ambassador to Bahrain, said, "This art festival helps boost ties between China and Arab World. And it plays an important role in strengthening the sharing of cultures."

You'll have to hurry up if you want to take in the sights. The festival ends Saturday.
