Northern China is very cold now, but Zambia of southern hemisphere is still full of flowers and trees. Chinese teaching and cultural activities of the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia has promoted from the capital to all over the country, which covers the Copper belt Kitwe, Luanshya, Ndola of northwest Province to the famous tourist city Livingstone of Southern Province. The Chinese language classes spread universities, colleges, schools and orphanages. You can see the Chinese teachers everywhere, and you also can see the booming scene of Chinese spread everywhere.

The Mulungushi University and Copper belt University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia. It started Chinese language and Chinese martial arts curriculum at two campuses. And they also agreed that the Chinese academy will become a credit course on August 2012, the new semester. Mr.Pirui, the director of Academic Committee at the University of Copper belt, who came to capital and met the director HeYi of Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia by person, and they discussed that how to open credit courses; Luanshya School of Copper belt suggested the Chinese language as a nine-year school credit courses, which is the first leading action in Zambia; The Liebes College is designated professional technical and commercial training college, and it also is the key college in Southern Province Livingstone. The principal supports the Chinese teaching very much, and help us to make cultural communication activities, who arranged the director of training school responsible for the job, who is the most effective in this college. In the capital, SOS children's Village, the international school of Lusaka, American school, Bao Bao College and some other schools will start Chinese language on January 2012 at the same time.

To the end of November, the Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia has developed six teaching places. In the capital region’s, it is including Hotel and Tourism Training Institute Trust, SOS Children's Village. In Kabwe region, it is the Mulungushi University. In Northwestern Province, it is Copper Belt University and Luanshya copper School. And in Southern Province, it is Liebes College. At last, it has formed multi-point mode that the University of Zambia is the center, and so many teaching places are outside.
