On 19th May 2012, for the 13th time, the city of Nuremberg shone resplendent in azure light that led the way to numerous museums and cultural activities open throughout the night, and the Confucius Institute Nuremberg-Erlangen presented itself together with YMCA Nuremberg in the heart of the city.
This year’s motto was “Masterly!” and so the Institute introduced in workshops the masterly disciplines of taiji, calligraphy and Chinese Chess among other things. A quiz was to master inside while outside packed Kornmarkt Square was filled with sound of masterly played guzheng that continually mesmerized the people old and young.
Until midnight the building at Kornmarkt was filled with laughter and gasps of surprises at how much there is to know about China, its language and culture – what a masterpiece of an event!
