The British Council Promotes The Project of Studying in China

The British council cooperated with the Confucius institute of traditional Chinese medicine in the London South Bank University and held the project of studying in China "British's Future Plan". The Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in UK took part in the activity and made a speech.



The project of “British’s Future Plan” aims to subsidizing the 15,000 British students in three years to study in China, experiencing the Chinese culture and education and developing the students’ Global-perspective and international competitiveness with the support of government, enterprises and others.



On the event day, there were 14 best universities in China including Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tongji University, Sichuan University and so on which took part in this activity. The president of International Institute of Dalian Medical University Han Jihong expressed that, “Recently, there are 200 international students who took part in the short-term exchange program, and students who don’t have the foundation of Chinese can study the course taught in English. What’s more, almost all international students are interested in traditional Chinese Medicine and want to study or experience it.

 


A Portugal student who is studying the economic in the King’s College London went to the site of activity and signed up the individual information in the organization “Internship in China”. He said, “I am really interested in China. China has made great progress in economic and I studied Chinese in Hongkong University for one year when I was sophomore. And I really want to have an internship in China.” And a freshman Demi in the London South Bank University told the reporter, “I really want to study in China, but the cost is the problem and I hope to apply for scholarship to fulfill my dream with the help of British Council”.
