No matter you are newlywed or couple for many years, your honeymoon should be the most important, unfogetable and sweeteset time in your life. No matter which condition you are, you can have certain suggestions on a well-designed honeymoon, may be it comes in the right time, may be it is out-of-time, anyway, the following tips can recollect your sweetest time. (Don’t forget to pop these in your‘just married’ suitcase!)
Your passport. We hate to state the obvious, but all kinds of things get forgotten in the run-up to a wedding. Check your passport expiry date still has six months left to run and do it early enough to apply for a new one if necessary, especially in high season. Remember to book honeymoon tickets in your maiden name too, unless you plan on changing your passport to your married name before you travel. Whichever you choose, the name on the passport and booking need to be the same.
Money. Credit cards are universally accepted, but you might just find a lovely little cash-only bar where you'd like to spend an evening or decide to spend an afternoon shopping at the local market. Be sure to take some local currency with you, so that you can tip hotel staff or call a taxi without having to track down a bank or bureau de change first.
Medical essentials. Not the most exciting thing in the world, but it's always wise to be armed with a ‘medical kit' including antihistamines, stomach settlers and headache tablets for the morning after the night before. And don't forget your usual method of contraception, as this may be difficult to replace in foreign countries.
Your marriage certificate. You've just got married, so shout it from the rooftops. You might be offered a special honeymoon package, or even a flight upgrade, so take along a copy of your marriage certificate just in case anyone's looking for proof.
Camera - with charger and memory card, or plenty of film as this holiday is certainly one you want to remember forever. Everybody will also want to see the photos so if you don't have a camera, why not put one on your gift list?
Your best dress. It's definitely worth packing one ‘knock 'em dead' outfit for that fabulous restaurant you've got your eye on.
Portable romance! Romantic CDs, massage oil, scented bubble bath... you get the picture.
A honeymoon diary. If you're a budding writer, take along a lovely notebook and write a diary each day - you'll love reading it in years to come.
Pampering treats. Your honeymoon is a time to relax so take along some beauty treats to really pamper yourself while you're away. You might even take some treats for your new husband too, as there's nothing wrong with a little male grooming.
And finally... a few snaps of your special day. You'll spend a lot of time on your honeymoon talking about your wedding, so take along a few Polaroids of the big day to help you reminisce.
